What to do in Rome in 4 days
Rome was my first visit outside Romania. And boy I loved every second of it. Every day we walked at least 12 km. We stayed for 4 nights and to be honest it wasn't enough. Enough for me is at least 2 weeks =). Below you will find my thought and tips on how to get the most out of Rome in 4 days.
1. Visit Fontana di Trevi. You should have see my face when I first saw it. If don't want to deal with the crowds go as early in the morning as you can. Like 5 AM morning. I don't necessarily mind the crowds but we went around 5 PM and there were lots of people. We had to squeeze between people to get some pictures. So if you want to have the fountain for yourself and get some awesome shots go early. And while you are here throw a coin over your shoulder with your back facing the fountain. It is for good luck and it's said that you'll return to Rome one day.
2. Eat gelato. We ate at Gelateria del Teatro near piazza Navona. The best ice cream I ever ate. They have so many flavors to choose from. I ate the one with mango.
4. Go and see the beautiful Pantheon. The entry is free but it has a schedule. During the week days is opened until 7:15 PM and on Sundays until 5:45 PM. This is another ancient building in Rome which has been preserved very well through time.
5. Indulge in history at Colosseum. This is the biggest amphitheater in Italy and it was the biggest building during his time. For 12 euros you can see Colosseum along with Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Colosseum is a must see in Rome.
6. Relax in the beautiful piazza Spagna and piazza Navona. Piazza Spagna it's definitely more beautiful during the spring and summer when they fill it with beautiful and colorful flowers. In piazza Spagna you will see the Spanish Steps and fountain of the Barcaccia and in piazza Navona the beautiful Fountain of the Four Rivers.

7. Last but not least, visit the Vatican. Before you go just be aware that this will need an entire day. Go early in the morning. We arrived there around 9 AM and it was already starting to get crowded. We took the metro which has a direct connection with the Vatican. The metro station that is the nearest to the Vatican is called Ottaviano. From there you just have to walk 5 minutes and you'll arrive at the Vatican.
This is just to summarize some of the things that you can do in Rome. There are still many more things like Bocca della Verita, Galleria Borghese, Castello Sant Angelo and many more.
