This is by far my favorite taverna in Corfu. Absolutely everything we ate here was delicious. The taverna is in Paleokastritsa and it's called Taverna Spiros. Spiros is of course the owner's name. I think 7 out of 10 men in Corfu are named Spiros.
Why is this taverna perfect? Nothing on the menu is overpriced. The portions are humongous. The seating is simple yet lovely. They have outdoor and indoor seating as well. The staff is lovely and always ready to help and suggest you what to eat. If you are not sure on what to choose, just ask them.

If you ever go here order just one dish in the beginning and see if you are still hungry. If you are, only then go ahead and order a second one. The good thing is that if your eyes are bigger than your stomach you can just ask them to pack the remaining of the food. They will do that if you ask them or sometimes they will ask you directly if they'll see there is too much food left on the plate. Their special chicken or pork souvlaki it's the most delicious souvlaki I ate in whole Greece. This is not your typical souvlaki as you can see from the picture. Also on certain dishes (special chicken/pork souvlaki) they will offer you at the end pancakes which are delicious and well plated. Just read the menu carefully and you will see which of them have the pancakes at the end.

If you are not staying in Paleokastritsa, hop on the bus/car or rent a car and eat at least once here. It'll be worth it. Did you ate at this taverna?
