3 Free Activities to do in Venice
Although Venice is not the least expensive city in Europe (Have you seen the gondola ride prices?) there are a few free activities that you can enjoy while you're there. Please find more about them below. Also if you have any other tips feel free to share.
1. Enjoy a sunset right on Rialto bridge. I feel like this is a must when it comes to Venice. Rialto is such an iconic place there and it will definitely offer you lifetime memories. Be prepared to take lots of photos. Also it will be crowded but I feel it is totally worth it.
2. Watch the crowd during golden hour in piazza San Marco. If you've heard about golden hour you know how amazing it is. And that tower called Campanile San Marco and Basilica San Marco during golden hour are magical.
3. Take a walk on the tiny streets of Venice. Everything is so old yet so beautiful. Some buildings look like they're about to fall apart. But maybe this is almost every building in Venice.
BONUS TIP: Go where hotel Cavalletto is and watch the numerous gondolas there.
There are not that many free activities as you'd think because Venice is full of museums to visit. There is also Burano and Murano which is technically free as a place but you need to pay for the waterbus to get there. And the list can go on.
