Our Venice holiday in pictures

Venice is filled with lots of museums, monuments and things to see. Although we weren't able to see everything in only 3 days, we loved Venice.

Day 1 - Immediately after we left the luggage at the hotel, we took the bus from Mestre to the island. We stayed in hotel Aaron and from there we took bus no. 2 and in 20 minutes we were in Venice. We arrived just in time to find a restaurant to eat and then enjoy a very lovely sunset at Rialto bridge. Definitely a place I can recommend for amazing sunsets. Crowded but perfect.

These are homemade spinach pasta with mushrooms. Very tasty and quite big portion. I believe the place was called restaurant Florida. They also gave us a jar filled with parmesan cheese. After we ate we just chilled near the bridge and enjoyed the sunset. And then we went to piazza San Marco, took some photos there and went straight to the hotel.

Day 2 - This day was dedicated to Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale), Campanile Basilica din San Marco and the best pasta we ever ate. Doge's Palace is definitely a masterpiece. We were able to skip the line due to us having a Venezia Unica city pass which was bought a few days before our holiday. That pass was so helpful because there were approximately 20 people waiting in line for a ticket. So you might want to look into this city pass and get it ahead of time. It saves you money and time.

We weren't too sure if we would go up in this tower  (Campanile Basilica di San Marco) but seeing the huge line of people we decided not to miss it. 8 euros for a 360 degrees panorama of Venice.

After this, we got hungry. So we decided to go and eat at Dal Moro's Fresh Pasta to go. We saw this place when we were home and we kept looking for places to see and restaurants to eat at. Since it had at that time (October of 2017) almost 10,000 reviews on Tripadvisor we knew we had to try it. Hands down BEST pasta with pesto I ate. And it was only 7 euros. Also do your research before because very close to them there are a few other places so make sure you will eat at this exact location.

After this we just walked on the island until exhaustion.

Day 3 - It was dedicated to Burano and Murano islands. You'll find a separate blog post here.
