Ice cream turned into art in Budapest

Imagine
Tripadvisor is kind of our best friend when it comes to travel advice. Gelarto Rosa was definitely a place we were happy we discovered during our stay in Budapest. A small shop where ice cream looks like roses. Roses on a cone. Located right next to St. Stephen basilica in Budapest, Gelarto Rosa is the place to go. Perfect to recharge your batteries after a long day of walking or to simply enjoy delicious ice cream. Be prepared to wait in line because the place is quite known and for good reason. You have the possibility to choose between 2 and 4 flavors. My advice is to choose 4 because that way the rose will turn out perfect. Also keep in mind the order in which you'll tell them the flavors because that is exactly the order they will put the ice cream in the cone. Not only the ice cream looks good but it is very delicious as well. I recommend this place with all my heart.

Best pesto in Cinque Terre

Imagine
Food is a very important aspect while travelling. And this is why I want you to not miss this place in Cinque Terre, exactly in the first village (or last, depends from where you start) in Monterosso Al Mare. I remember we arrived in Monterosso around 12 PM or around that time and I was starving. And right on the platform there was a small place similar to a fast food. And right there was a big line waiting for food. But this is not the place which I wanna talk about. I just mentioned it in order for you to not make a confusion and eat somewhere else because I was very tempted to eat there. I'm not saying they didn't had good food because I have no idea but I wanted to eat something italian. You can eat there, if you want, but if you wanna taste the most delicious pesto, I'd recommend you to go here - Il Massimo della Focaccia . The thing with Monterosso is that you have to go down a few stairs from the platform in order to reach the sea and promenade. And Il Massimo...

Must see in Corfu

Imagine
Corfu is one of the many islands in Greece which has plenty to offer. If you are curious to know what are some of the must see places there just keep reading. 1. Paleokastritsa - I say this because here you will find those turquoise waters, stunning landscapes and taverna Spiros which serves delicious food. Here are several beaches with pebbles (not sand) and the whole village it's filled with restaurants and accommodation options. 2. Canal D'Amour - Probably one of the most famous places on Corfu island. You'll find Canal D'Amour in Sidari village on the northern part of the island. Even though the sand in the water was very muddy so to say, I can only imagine how it looks when it is not. I believe there was a storm the night before we went. For the ones who know to swim, this place it's perfect for cliff jumping. 3. Old Fortress in Corfu Town - Here you will be greeted with the most beautiful panorama of Corfu town. So for tho...

Our Venice holiday in pictures

Imagine
Venice is filled with lots of museums, monuments and things to see. Although we weren't able to see everything in only 3 days, we loved Venice.  Day 1 - Immediately after we left the luggage at the hotel, we took the bus from Mestre to the island. We stayed in hotel Aaron and from there we took bus no. 2 and in 20 minutes we were in Venice. We arrived just in time to find a restaurant to eat and then enjoy a very lovely sunset at Rialto bridge. Definitely a place I can recommend for amazing sunsets. Crowded but perfect.  These are homemade spinach pasta with mushrooms. Very tasty and quite big portion. I believe the place was called restaurant Florida. They also gave us a jar filled with parmesan cheese. After we ate we just chilled near the bridge and enjoyed the sunset. And then we went to piazza San Marco, took some photos there and went straight to the hotel. Day 2 - This day was dedicated to Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale), Campanile...

3 Free Things to do in Milan

Imagine
Even though Milan is known as the city of fashion, there are a few free things you can enjoy in this lovely city. 1. Relax in piazza in front of the Dome. This is a fairly large place and it is perfect to just take in the beauty of the cathedral. Be amazed at how intricate this cathedral is. Plus at night it is quite nice to see it slowly getting less and less crowded as the hours go by. 2. Chill at Castello Sforzesco in Sempione park. It is the perfect place to either enjoy a lovely walk in the park or simply recharge your batteries for more walking. 3. Do some window shopping at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Unless you can pay hundreds and thousands of euros for a bag or coat, window shopping will do the work. Here you'll find famous stores as Prada, Versace, Armani and many more. Also the architecture here is amazing. While you're here you can also spin 3 times on the bull mosaic on the floor (close to the center of the gallery) for good luck.

Where we ate in Crete - the Island of Zeus

Imagine
If you love food as much as we do, this post is for you. For the ones that enjoy food on another level. We rely on Tripadvisor most of the times when it comes to restaurants and places to eat. So here are a few places in Crete that we recommend based on our own experience. Places also found thanks to Tripadvisor.  1. Taverna Eleven in Stavromenos - This definitely deserves to be number one on our list. This is a place where everything we ate was delicious. From fish, to pasta, to local food. Everything was as tasty as it can be. There is a whole post dedicated just to this place. 2. Prassin Aloga in Rethymno town - We ate 2 times at this place and the food was good. We were kinda of lured in but the place has his charm. You have a lovely sea view and their decor is quite colorful and tasteful. You will not find the lowest prices but you should give this place a try. We ate dolmades, chef salad and some souvlaki. Overall it is a good place to enjoy some l...
